The whole Indian film industry is shocked by the news of the legendary actor Dilip Kumar's demise. The one and only Tragedy King of the Indian cinema breathed his last breath in Hinduja hospital, Khar today. The actor was hospitalized for a while due to health issues and at the age of 98, we lost the gem of the Indian film industry. Talking about his career timeline, Dilip Saab made his debut in the Indian film industry in 1944 with his first film Jwar Bhata. But this film didn't do well at the box office. After that Dilip Saab appeared in two films, one in 1945 and the other in 1946. But he rose to fame with his 1947 film Jugnu which became a super hit at the box office. Then his films Mela, Nadiya Ke Paar, Andaz, Deedar, Tarana, Aan became the start of the Dilip Kumar Era.

Then at the end of the '60s, Dilip Saab played a historical character that became immortal because of him, Salim in his film Mughal-E-Azam. After that, his films Ganga Jamuna and Leader. Then the actor burnt the box office with his first double role in his film Ram Aur Shyam. Till the end of the '70s, many of his films became super hits.

Then, till 80's the actor gave many of such amazing hit films like Dastaan and many more.

The '90s were filled with his films like Kranti, Shakti, Vidhata, and others which did amazing at the box office. Then Dilip Saab appeared on the big screen in his 1998 film, Qila, marking it as his last film.

Talking about his achievements, this legendary actor won the Filmfare award for Best Actor, 8 times, making him the only maximum number of award-winning actors in the Indian film industry. With 8 Filmfare awards he also won Dadasaheb Phalke Puraskar in 1994. The actor has been honored with Padma Bhushan in 1991, Nishan--Imtiaz in 1998, and Padma Vibhushan in 2015. Not only in the field of cinema, but Dilip Saab has done great work off-screen as well. Thus he was appointed as the Sheriff of Mumbai by the Indian Government in 1980.

From 1944 to 2000, Dilip Saab created an unbeatable era with his amazing method of acting which he introduced into the industry. His whole life was an amazing journey as the actor still holds the Guinness book of world record for having achieved the most awards.
